Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 29, 2026

Introduction

SSN Digital Media Services LLC (“the Company,” “we,” “us”) operates the Temple Hub platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information, and describes the privacy rights available to individuals under U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and the comprehensive consumer privacy laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states as they take effect.

Our Role: Service Provider to Temples

Temple Hub is a business-to-business platform. Each participating temple is the “business,” “controller,” or “data controller” of its devotees' and members' personal information and is responsible for its own privacy notices and for lawfully collecting that data. The Company acts as a “service provider” / “processor,” processing personal information only on a temple's documented instructions to provide the platform, under a written contract that prohibits retaining, using, selling, or sharing the data for any other purpose.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

Consistent with the CCPA categories, we may process: identifiers (name, email, phone, temple/account identifiers); customer-record information (mailing address, household/family details); commercial information (puja/service bookings, donations, and transaction records); financial-transaction information needed to process payments; internet or network activity (log data, device/browser information); approximate location where a devotee enables optional geofencing; and audio/visual information such as an uploaded proof-of-payment image. We practice data minimization and collect only what is needed to operate the platform.

Sensitive Personal Information

Some information may be considered “sensitive,” such as religious or community affiliation implied by temple membership, precise geolocation where a devotee turns on optional geofencing, or financial account details on a payment proof. We use and disclose sensitive personal information only as necessary to provide the service and for purposes permitted by law — never to infer characteristics for advertising. Where a state requires opt-in consent to process sensitive data, that consent is obtained by the temple before the data is entered.

Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information directly from devotees and temple staff who enter it, from a temple's authorized roster or bulk upload, and automatically from your device when you use the platform (e.g., log and cookie data as described in our Cookie Policy).

How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to: provide and secure the Temple Hub platform; authenticate sign-in via one-time passcodes; process puja bookings, donations, and payments; generate receipts and communications a temple sends to its devotees; provide administrative reporting to the temple; maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with law. We do not use personal information to build advertising profiles.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We disclose personal information only to sub-processors that help operate the platform under contract — for example, cloud hosting (AWS), payment processors (such as Square or Datacap), and email/SMS delivery providers — and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. Each sub-processor is bound to protect the data and use it only to perform services for us.

We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

The Company does not “sell” personal information, and does not “share” it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA and comparable state laws. We do not disclose personal data to data brokers, marketing agencies, or advertising networks, and we do not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Your U.S. Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal information and access it; correct inaccurate personal information; delete your personal information; obtain a portable copy; opt out of any sale of personal information, sharing for targeted advertising, and certain profiling; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and appeal a denied request. You also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Because a temple controls its devotees' records, requests are usually fastest through your temple. You may also contact us at support@templehub.org and we will route the request to the appropriate temple or act on the temple's instruction. We verify requests using information already on file, honor authorized-agent requests with proof of authority, respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable once where permitted), and do not charge a fee for a first request within a 12-month period. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

Universal Opt-Out & Global Privacy Control

We honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms. If your browser transmits the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing and default non-essential cookies to off. You can also manage cookie choices anytime via “Cookie Preferences” in the site footer (see our Cookie Policy).

Children's Privacy

The platform is intended for use by temple administrators and adult devotees. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where a temple records a minor family member as part of a household, that information is provided and controlled by the parent/guardian or the temple. We will delete information collected from a child in error upon request.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the platform to the temple, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Temple administrators can update or delete devotee records at any time, and specific items (such as payment-proof images) are subject to their own retention limits.

Data Security

We employ industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, role-based permissions, and audit logging, to protect against unauthorized access to devotee and temple records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information and maintain an incident-response process.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
